Android Fans Rejoice At The Acer Betouch E400

Android fans can celebrate a little with the announced new beTouch smartphones from the Taiwan-based Acer. They now run the Android OS after abandoning the lackluster Windows Mobile 6.5 that run its first three beTouch smartphones launched last October.

One of them, the Acer beTouch E400, runs the latest Android 2.1 Éclair on the Qualcomm QSD 7227 processor clocked at 600 MHz, the power most powerful in the beTouch stable. The other beTouch E110 runs the older Android 1.5 Cupcake.
